Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to oversee and drive growth within our premium pub portfolio, which includes venues offering high-quality food and letting rooms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, enhancing guest experiences, and maximising profitability through effective business strategies.

About the Role
Pro-active management of all administrative requirements of the operations team:
·      Maintaining and being responsible for the admin needs within your own region.
·      Understanding needs and anticipating outcomes
·      Problem solving and addressing issues.
·      Handling and resolving, external and internal enquiries.
·      Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
·      Production of briefing documents, reports, and presentations
·      Investigating escalated pub specific issues providing supporting data, suggested solutions, and where appropriate drafting proposed responses
·      Assisting the Operations team with pub recruitment, including keeping track of our talent bank, planning interviews and inductions.
·      Communicating with external suppliers to assist with issues within the pubs.
·      Assisting with the on boarding of new acquisition sites.

Supporting our pubs by completing administrative tasks such as.
·      Utilities queries including meter reads.
·      Assisting where needed with our hotel systems.
·      Council tax queries
·      Business rates queries
·      Operator managed service agreements.
·      Supporting with our operators’ hotels
·      Non fixed asset orders
·      Point of sale & consumable orders
·      Communication with suppliers
·      Communication to supplier/contractors on change of operators/tenants
·      Temporary event notices
·      Assist your line manager in any other projects as directed

About You
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise own workload

• Clear verbal communication skills in a professional and engaging manner

Pub Operator

A community pub fully refurbished throughout in 2024, offering entertainment with local darts teams, and a strong ROTW. To increase sales we are offering a small pie menu, and also function area is available for all occasions.

The successful applicant will grow the business further by working pushing the sales for the pie menu, and push for functions mid week and offering more with the local community.

We are looking to partner with an experienced operator who can work with all of the revenue streams and maximise the trading potential across the year. You will be resilient and energetic. You will have an entrepreneurial outlook, always looking for ways to grow the business, for which you will be rewarded accordingly.

Valiant cover all operating expenses with the exception of staff wages and council tax for the private quarters. You will earn a percentage of the net take paid weekly. We will agree an operating plan with you, in which you have autonomy to deliver across all revenue streams

Accommodation is furnished throughout and offers two bedrooms, lounge, kitchen & bathroom.

This venue would suit an entrepreneurial Operator with proven track record of managing high-volume sites, with sales of up to £50k per week.

The successful applicant will grow the business further in the cask ale sector and work with local breweries to build relationships and host tap take over nights. Also the function room can be utilised more often to help income with weekly / monthly events and holding community and party events.

Valiant works on a percentage based model, this site is currently set up at 20% wet and 30% food.£3k Bond, all F&F included in the opportunity.

As an additional incentive we will also pay you a guaranteed monthly bonus of £3000 during the first 12 months for achieving the agreed operational plan.
